Well it was my first full day living in England and we started it off right by kicking it off with a trip in to Nottingham! It was still crazy busy despite it being during the week but it was more agreeable to me so it was fine. We took the Trent Barton 141 in to Nottingham and it could not have been a more beautiful day. First thing in we went to
Annie's Burger Shack which was very eclectic and funky. They had mirrored walls, mismatched tables and chairs and Rhode Island license plates on the walls for decoration.

The place was hard to get to only because it was down a side street. After that we went to The Bag and Leather Company and bought a larger purse, a cute black Kipling satchel that will fit my passport. The owner of the store asked me where I was from and I told him Florida and he deadpan threatened me with with tripling the price of the store out of sheer jealousy.
We wandered around for a bit longer and came across Nottingham castle.

Unfortunately it was towards the end of the day and the castle tours were shutting for the day plus they wanted an admissions fee so we decided to opt out. However they did have a nice sign with adverts telling about teas and ghost tours available, just not together as that would be odd.
We continued walking around until we came to the
Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem Britain's oldest inn. We didn't stop and poke around as it was actually relatively busy but I did take a few pictures of the outside.

The architecture of the outside was lovely and it segued in with the rest of the area beautifully. We came back around the castle and the sides were so pock-marked with age and history it was truly other-worldly.

It was getting later in the day and my feet were getting tired so we stopped by McDonald's to pick up some drinks. We had stopped by a
Pound World and I got some Haribo candy and some pretty nice hair conditioner and he got some dark chocolate
Jaffa Cakes and some other goodies. We were on our last coins so we opted to head back to the bus station before we got any more urges to spend what we had left.
The remainder of the evening consisted of him making a very nice pasta bake with gluten-free noodles and lactose-free cheese plus back bacon and tinned tomatoes and tomato paste. It really was delicious plus it didn't make me feel funny so a huge plus!
We rounded out the evening by watching the first Ridley Scott
Alien movie and then we went to bed. All in all a pretty nice evening.
